How Scientific Knowledge Develops
Slide 1 of 12
Science is a process, not a finished list
Good news: the CAEC Science test does not ask you to memorize science facts. It checks whether you can think like a scientist.
One idea sits underneath everything else on the test: scientific knowledge is built, tested, and revised over time.
In this topic you will learn to read short stories about how a scientific idea changed, and to say what each story shows about how science works.
The science content in these stories is just flavour. The skill is recognizing the process.
Key pointOn the test, you will never be asked to recall the science details of these stories, only what the episode shows about how science works.
