Can I Use the CAEC Ready Workbook With My Tutor?
Short answer: yes, for your own studies. Here is what that covers.
· 3 min read
This is one of the questions we get most often. Many people preparing for the CAEC work with a private tutor, a family member, or a friend who is good at math. They want to know if they can share the Workbook with that person.
The answer is yes. If you bought the CAEC Ready Workbook for your own CAEC preparation, you can share it with your tutor so they can help you study.
What is allowed
Your tutor can use your copy of the Workbook to support your learning. That includes:
- reading the lessons and practice questions so they know what you are working on
- going through lessons and worked examples with you
- planning your sessions and short lessons around the Workbook
- checking your answers and explaining the ones you got wrong
- timing you on the practice tests
This applies to both the PDF and the printed paperback.
The one condition
Your copy is for your studies. Your tutor can use it only while helping you, not anyone else. Please make sure your tutor knows this before you share it.
That means your tutor should not:
- use your copy with their other students
- use it to teach a class or a group
- copy, print, or forward it to other people
- upload it to a website, shared drive, or group chat
- keep using it after your tutoring ends
We are a small team, and every copy sold helps us keep improving the Workbook and adding free lessons to this site. Thank you for respecting that.
Tutors and teachers with more than one learner
If you are a tutor, teacher, or program working with several CAEC learners, each learner needs their own copy. We are happy to help with group orders and class sets, including printed workbooks. Visit our page for educators or contact us and tell us how many learners you have.
Getting the most out of tutoring
The Workbook is built to fit tutoring sessions. Each lesson is a short two-page spread with an explanation, worked examples, and practice questions, so you can often cover one lesson per session and practise together at the end.
- Start with a practice test to find your weakest areas, then spend your sessions there.
- Do the practice questions on your own first, then go over mistakes with your tutor.
- Save a full practice test for the end, so you can check you are ready before you book.
You and your tutor can also use our free lessons for extra explanations, and our study plan guide to set a schedule.
